MIGRATION SERIES Alcohol Ink and Bleach on Paper Ongoing
The Migration Series (ongoing) is made one line at a time. I work my way around and across the paper using alcohol ink-based marker and a hand made tool. In some cases, instead of ink I fill up empty pens with bleach and work on coloured paper to create an inverted version of the drawings. The process involves repeated blunt contact between the paper and marker which often causes it to gradually fail. Many of the drawings are a literal documentation of the marker progressively wearing down.
