MIGRATION SERIES Selected Works Bleach and Alcohol Ink on Paper Ongoing
The Migration Series is an ongoing body of drawings, each made one line at a time using hand-made stencils and alcohol ink markers. The process is generative: the same method produces infinitely varied results. In some works, I replace ink with bleach on coloured paper, creating inverted versions. The repeated contact between paper and marker causes the tool to gradually fail, and many of the drawings are a literal documentation of this wearing down. I've produced over 100 of these works, and the process continues to surprise me. Complete series available on request.
