My practice is an outlet for my curiosity. I am interested in the sequential processes that build the patterns in our natural and manufactured world. I work across digital and material mediums, exploring underlying systems and mechanics.
My design process often begins with set parameters and develops as I work. Evidence of this evolving process can often be observed within the work itself, marks provide a literal representation of time and process.
I work under the mantra “simplify, always”. I seek to strip an idea down to it’s most fundamental qualities, using intuition to seek ideal ratios and aesthetics. My recent work uses linear and modular forms as content to express these ideas.
Experimentation and play are at the heart of my practice. I am constantly pursuing development by exploring new processes and mediums, sometimes destroying my work in the process. I value progress, and I love a good challenge.
