DRAPE SERIES Concrete 2024

This series of sculptures is made using glass fibre-reinforced concrete cast into fabric moulds. As the concrete is poured, the fabric stretches, wrinkles, and folds under its weight, creating soft, undulating forms that are preserved in the hardened material. The process captures both the movement and texture of the textile, retaining details like the weave and subtle creases. These works explore the tension between softness and rigidity, weight and fluidity.

These works were created in partnership with 2Stone and supported by Calgary Arts Development.

Selected works available through Paul Kuhn Gallery.
